The health and safety of the members of the Carleton community is non-negotiable and will always be our top priority. The Environmental Health and Safety Office is working in partnership with the Emergency Management, Health and Counselling Services, and Risk Management and Insurance to ensure that we have a plan where we welcome faculty, staff and students back to campus in a gradual and phased manner that ensures personal health and safety.

Please note that the Environmental Health and Safety Office continues to provide critical services as required to the university community. In accordance with the university’s emergency preparedness plans, most of our team are working remotely, but we strive to have one member on campus during regular working hours. Before returning to work on campus, all employees must complete the COVID-19: Infection Prevention and Control Training in Brightspace. This online training course will provide general information regarding the health and safety practices and considerations required for working on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under Orders from the Government of Ontario and guidance from Public Health Ontario and Ottawa Public Health, Carleton University is required to implement COVID-19 screening for all employees (including faculty, contract instructors, staff and teaching/research assistants), students, and visitors. The short COVID-19 Screening Form must be completed each day you plan to enter a Carleton University building.
