The research of Prof. Micheline White was highlighted by CTV News as one of the “15 Best Art, Design, and Archaeology Discoveries” of 2023. Prof. White’s discovery and analysis of the marginalia that King Henry VIII added to a prayer book written by his wife, Katherine Parr, first made international headlines in the summer of 2023 and is currently featured on the FASS website. According to Prof. White, the markings that the notorious King added to his book demonstrate his uncertainty, later in life, about the “state of his soul and his position as God’s anointed ruler.”

The CTV News roundup puts Prof. White in the illustrious company of researchers from around the world whose discoveries include a 3,000-year-old bronze sword unearthed from a burial site in Germany.
