eShop Tools, Support and Training: hands-on classroom style training

As the ‘eshop: June 30th is coming!’ notices make their way through the Carleton community, people naturally have many questions.  In this series of tips, I will share the answers to the most commonly asked eShop questions.

Question #1: June 30 is just around the corner, where can I find the support I need to learn how to use eShop?

The answer to this question depends on you.  There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to providing support for a new system.  We’ve developed training …

In this week’s tip, I will outline the options for those who prefer hands-on classroom style training.

How does the hands-on classroom style training work?

The training has been designed as a ‘choose your own adventure’ to minimize the amount to time you’ll spend in the classroom.  We recommend that you …

  1. Take eShop 101 (2 hrs)
  2. Get into eShop and try it out
  3. Sign up for any advanced session/s (30 min each) which  relate to your job
  4. Use the online tools as refreshers anytime you need them

There is a lot of training being offered. Does that mean the system is difficult to use?

With all this talk of training, I want to assure you that the eShop team has worked hard to ensure that eShop is easy to use.  We’ve used your feedback about our existing financial systems to customize eShop for the Carleton community.
