What is it?

A Contract Amendment is a change, correction, clarification, or deletion to an executed Contract. Amendments can also be used to extend the duration of a Contract. A Contract Amendment leaves the original Contract substantially intact.

Why is it important?

It is important to officially document any changes to a Contract to ensure the Contract is always reflective of the Agreement in place between you and your vendor. This ensures that you are able to manage your Statement of Work effectively, and safeguards the university in the event of a dispute.
