What is it?
Funds in Trust (FIT) are money that belong/s to one person/entity but is legally held or managed by another person or organization.
Why is it important?
University Funds in trust are created when an outside organization provides money to be administered by Carleton University on their behalf. These FIT accounts are assigned unique Fund Codes and reside on the balance sheet.
