University is about much more than just selecting a single topic to study. It’s about asking big questions, expanding your knowledge, listening and learning from different voices, and advocating for positive change. That’s why in Carleton’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), students are encouraged to chart their own academic paths.
The FASS Framework represents 27 majors and 16 minors across four broad areas of interest and helps guide students on their unique journeys. In each of these frames, students can directly connect the topics learned in the classroom to the challenges faced in the real world, preparing them for exceptional futures as the thinkers, leaders, and caretakers of tomorrow.
