Introduction to Data Cleaning and Restructuring using SPSS
March 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: | Online |
Audience: | Current Students |
Raw data needs to be cleaned, recoded, and sometimes restructured prior to analysis. This workshop will provide a primer on how to clean and restructure data using SPSS to carry out your quantitative analyses. Specific attention will be given to how we transition from a research question to an analytical plan that lays out the requirements for data cleaning. Attendees will be provided with techniques in SPSS using drop down menus, as well as syntax.
Workshop leader: Danielle Rieger, Statistics Consultant, MacOdrum Library
Intended audience: Students and Faculty conducting quantitative research. While expertise in SPSS is not required, prior knowledge or experience with cleaning data and quantitative analyses will be beneficial.
All graduate students are welcome. If you are working as a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.
