Demystifying Literature Reviews

Aliya Kuzhabekova, post-doc researcher from Carleton’s CREWW (Centre for Research and Education on Women and Work) research unit, will present strategies on how to prepare a literature review for academic work. She will specifically address how to narrow your search for articles to find what you need, how to organize the articles, and how to code articles with a demonstration in NVivo.

If you are working as a TA, this workshop counts toward one hour of voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.

This workshop is for PhD and Masters students at any stage in their program who have to prepare a literature review as part of academic work.
