With the pandemic still not abating and its impact on some sectors likely being felt for a few years to come, how should a recent graduate best prepare for this new reality we’re currently living through? This webinar will not only review the basics of securing and preparing for a “traditional” in-person interview, but also discuss how to prep for online and recorded interviews. Finally, you will learn how to improve your negotiation skills in order to increase your chances of securing a job offer you’ll be satisfied with.
Learning Outcomes:
- Review how to effectively prepare for an in-person interview.
- Learn what sets online and recorded interviews apart.
- Familiarize yourself with various negotiation tactics.
All graduate students and postdocs are welcome. If you are working as a TA, this session counts toward voluntary paid training hours, provided that you are working as a TA in the term when the training takes place.
