Managing the Writing Process
October 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Location: | Online |
Audience: | Current Students |
Description:
Every writer instinctively knows that the writing process involves much more than sitting down to compose a text. In fact, sitting down to write is actually the culmination of a series of small steps and minor decisions that need to be considered deliberately in light of personal preferences, material conditions, and the demands of the project in question. The focus of this interactive workshop will be on the steps, decisions, and considerations that should be addressed as part of planning a writing project, including managing the writing schedule, organization, and other pertinent issues.
Learning outcomes:
- Identify the different activities that comprise the writing process
- Create a personalized writing plan based on assignment and timeline
- Assess the efficacy of different approaches to the writing process
- Modify writing routine based on demands, circumstances, and personal preferences
Workshop leader(s):
