We braved the cold to view a mock bomb disposal demonstration on March 18th, 2015 as part of an IPIS course on Explosives taught by Professor Ettore Contestabile in the Mackenzie Quad. The Ottawa Police Service bomb disposal unit demonstrated a robot using highly pressurized water to “blow up” a package. This is just one method of bomb disposal, and this demonstration is one of the many unique learning activities offered in our program.
Many thanks to the Ottawa Police Service, Campus Safety, Professor Contestabile and all who stopped by to see the demonstration!
