What is OneDrive for Business?
- Cloud accessible storage, accessible:
- from within the Open/Save dialogs of MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); or
- from any web browser at exchange.carleton.ca.
- Optionally, the contents of your OneDrive for Business cloud storage can be mirrored to a folder on your local drive, allowing offline access to your OneDrive files.
Why use Cloud storage?
- Make your documents available to you from all your devices: desktop, laptop, tablet and phone.
- Collaborate on a document by sharing a document or a folder with another OneDrive for Business user.
- Recover easily, should your computer fail or be stolen, by accessing your files stored on OneDrive for Business from a replacement computer, phone, or tablet.
Why use OneDrive for Business?
- Access from within MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Use your existing Carleton MC1 userid/password.
- Keep your Carleton work files (OneDrive for Business) separate from your personal files (e.g. on your personal OneDrive, DropBox, or Google Docs)
- Leverage Carleton’s Service Desk for help with OneDrive for Business
