Researchers across Carleton are invited to a special briefing with the CEO of Invest Ottawa, Sonya Shorey, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The session will highlight potential opportunities for researchers across disciplines to engage with Invest Ottawa and industry partners, while outlining anticipated directions for defence‑related industry growth in the region.
About the Initiative
Invest Ottawa is advancing a proposal to the federal government for the development of a Defence Innovation Hub in the National Capital Region. Supported by the Mayors of Ottawa and Gatineau, the proposal aims to strengthen and expand defence‑related production and innovation in the region.
