LERRN is pleased to share the following information on an upcoming webinar from the “Placement, Preservation and Perseverance: Afghan At-Risk Scholars, Activists and Students’ project” in collaboration with Carleton University and the University of British Columbia, and funded by IDRC.
Webinar Description
Canadian Universities have been hosting at-risk scholars from various crisis contexts, where scholars and academic freedom have been under attack. However, hosting practices and policies around visiting scholars at Canadian Universities as well as the range of supports offered to at-risk scholars vary from institution to institution. In this webinar, the speakers will discuss different experiences and modalities in hosting at-risk scholars in Canadian higher education institutions as well as PPP’s ongoing research on best practices in Canada.
