I am a dedicated interdisciplinary researcher driven by a profound passion for humanitarian work. Following the successful completion of my undergraduate studies in Architecture at the American University of Beirut, I embarked on a transformative journey, working extensively with Syrian refugee children. My role involved the design and construction of cost-effective, climate-responsive structures to create informal learning spaces. Simultaneously, I actively contributed as a core group volunteer at TAYF, a program established by the Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality, dedicated to advancing LGBTQIA+ rights in Lebanon.
Fueled by my unwavering commitment to human rights causes, I was honored to be granted a fully funded scholarship, enabling me to earn a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from the Lebanese American University. Building upon this strong academic foundation, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Anthropology at Carleton University, where I continue to explore and contribute to critical research in the field.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I held a pivotal role as a Senior External Relations Assistant at the UNHCR Kuwait office, where I leveraged my expertise to advance the organization’s mission and impact.
