Best gifts.

There have been many wonderful best gifts that I have received, but I’ll pick one because it was so unusual and unique for me.

As a young child of three years old, I had recurrent bad bedwetting issues, they probably drove my parents crazy. Why I had this problem, I’m not sure. I didn’t see the family doctor, but everything medically was OK.

Perhaps this was a form of “behavior disorder”. The technique my parents used to correct my problem was very successful, and I continue suggested to the state for parents experience experiencing this dilemma with their own kids.

My father asked me what object I wanted the most. To me, there was no doubt, I wanted a “Indian suit” that I had seen in Simpson’s Department store. I must’ve been very much into Indians in those days.

My parents and I made a poster and divided it up in two days of the week for one month. Each day had a square where I could paste in a star, when I hadn’t had a wet wet the bed for the previous night.

I was given a prize much less valuable if I completed three stars in a row, with the promise of my Indian suit when I had achieved a grand total of seven stars, one after the other and no Mrs. I can’t remember how much effort that was, but I’m sure one of the Indian suit.

Thank you thank you… I was successful.

I am now much older, have absolutely no interest in an Indian suit, but still do not wet the bed.
