LLeaP Lecturer Rowida Mohamed Awarded Contract Instructor Teaching Award
We are thrilled to celebrate Rowida Mohamed for winning a Contract Instructor Teaching Award! A passionate educator and researcher, Rowida has brought her expertise to our Lifelong Learning Program through fascinating lectures like The Invisible Chefs: Microbes in Your Meals and The State of Health: Navigating Emerging Global Threats. Rowida started lecturing with LLeaP during our inaugural Summer Showcase in 2024 and has found teaching the Lifelong Learning community to be a wonderful experience. Since 2024, she has taught multiple 6-week series and lecture topics during our showcases focusing on how our body works on a microscopic level.

Rowida is dedicated to advancing accessible education in health science, with a strong passion for inclusive teaching practices. Rowida’s dream is to teach health science using sign language, making complex scientific concepts accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing students and to create an equitable classroom that empowers every student to reach their full potential.Her engaging teaching style and deep knowledge make learning both accessible and exciting.
