The Carleton International Relations Society is hosting a panel discussion on Migration in the European Union.

The migrant crisis is one of the largest humanitarian and political issues facing the European Union today. Join the Carleton International Relation Society for our panel discussion on the challenges that have arisen as EU nations try and adapt to changing demographics within their borders.

The event will consist of an approximately two-hour discussion, featuring the following speakers:

Professor Howard Duncan (Moderator)
Migration and Diaspora Studies – Carleton University

Brice de Shietere
Deputy Head – Delegation of the European Union to Canada

Eva Willems
Head of Culture and Communications – Embassy of Germany

José María Pérez Gómez 
Counsellor for Labour, Migrations and Social Security – Embassy of Spain 

The panel will open up for questions from the audience towards the end of the event.
