Carleton Parliamentary Initiative Hosts Eighth Annual Orientation for Diplomats
Carleton University’s Initiative for Parliamentary and Diplomatic Engagement will host its eighth annual Orientation for Newly Arrived Diplomats.
The diplomat orientation features expert discussions on Canada’s parliamentary system, diplomatic access points, public opinion trends, media and other sources of influence, where to get information, social and family integration, and an information resource fair.

When: Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, from 8:15 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Where: Second Floor Atrium and Conference Rooms, Richcraft Hall, Carleton University

The free event regularly hosts more than 100 members of the diplomatic community, representing more than 60 countries and every region in the world. This orientation is organized in partnership with the Ottawa Diplomatic Association and the Parliamentary Centre.

- Mary Anne Dehler, deputy chief of Protocol for Canada and director, Diplomatic Corps Services
