Carleton Parliamentary Initiative to Host Panel on the Future of the North American Economic Relationship

Carleton University’s Initiative for Parliamentary and Diplomatic Engagement will host an expert panel on the North American Economic Relationship: Preparing for the Future.

The panel will discuss what the North American relationship will look like moving forward and how changing trade and economic projections, demographics and security relations may influence it.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, registration begins at 4 p.m.
Where: Room 430, Wellington Building, 197 Sparks Street, Ottawa
Info: The event is open to parliamentarians, staffers, interested diplomats and stakeholders.

The panel will examine opportunities and risks facing Canada, the United States and Mexico as they establish new trade relations and the potential long-lasting effects of President Donald Trump’s administration.

The panel will be moderated by Fen Osler Hampson, Carleton chancellor’s professor, distinguished fellow and director of Global Security and Politics at CIGI. An introductory presentation on the North American relationship will be delivered by Lilly.
