Experts Available: Ontario Minimum Wage Increase

Moscovitch’s research interests include the history of the welfare state in Canada; social administration, particularly the administration of social assistance; federal/provincial relations and social welfare; Indigenous peoples and social welfare; and poverty. He has taught courses on advanced theory for social work practice: social policy; social administration and policy; housing policy; social policy analysis; and poverty and anti-poverty policies.

Galdo’s research interests include labour economics, micro-econometrics, applied econometrics and development economics. His research lies at the intersection of applied economics and the evaluation of public policy using both experimental and non-experimental approaches. He has substantial research and field experience in evaluating public policy in countries as diverse as the U.S., Canada, Peru, Colombia, Ethiopia and Mongolia.

Lee has appeared multiple times before the House of Commons Finance and Senate Banking committees. He has been in every Government of Canada budget lockup since 2008. He attended pre-budget consultations with the Minister of Finance in 2009 and 2011.
He was employed in the financial services sector as a loan manager in consumer, mortgage and commercial credit for an American multinational and subsequently for the Bank of Montreal in the 1970s and early 1980s.
