Women's and Men's Ravens Go 2-0 Against Gee-Gees in Cross-Town Rivalry
Carleton’s Women’s and Men’s Ravens hockey teams defeated the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees in a set of cross-town rivalry games on Friday, Nov. 16. 2018.
The women’s team traveled across town to the Minto Sports Complex to take on the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees in the rejuvenated Alerts Cup Game. The Ravens would end up defeating the Gee-Gees 5-2 as they picked up their first victory of the season over their cross-town rivals. Read a full recap of the game.
In the men’s game at TD Place Arena, billed as the 3rd annual Colonel By Classic, the Ravens scored three goals in the third period to force overtime and then a shootout, winning 4-3 over the Gee-Gees. Read the play-by-play.
