Carleton Parliamentary Initiative Hosts Ninth Annual Orientation for Diplomats

Carleton University’s Initiative for Parliamentary and Diplomatic Engagement will host its ninth annual Orientation for Newly Arrived Diplomats.

This year’s orientation session will feature expert discussions on Canada’s 43rd Parliament, effective diplomacy in Ottawa, understanding public opinion trends as well as engaging with Canadian businesses and the National Capital region. The day will conclude with a resource fair for diplomats.

When: Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Second Floor Atrium and Conference Rooms, Richcraft Hall, Carleton

The free event regularly hosts more than 100 members of the diplomatic community representing more than 60 countries and every region of the world. This orientation is organized in partnership with the Ottawa Diplomatic Association and the Parliamentary Centre.
