Feb. 4, 2020
Dear Members of the Carleton Community,
I am writing regarding the outbreak of the novel coronavirus that continues to raise concerns across the globe. At this time, the health risks to our community remain low, but we are monitoring the situation very carefully, and continue to follow the advice of public health organizations and experts in the field.
The university has prepared a FAQ website – now updated to include a travel advisory – with more information.
Novel Coronavirus FAQ
Once again I am deeply impressed by the resilient and inclusive nature of the Carleton community. We must continue to support each other – and in particular all members of the Chinese community – with respect and care. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
Sincerely,
Benoit-Antoine Bacon
President and Vice-Chancellor
