Carment is a series editor for Palgrave’s Canada and International Affairs, editor of Canadian Foreign Policy Journal and fellow of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. His research focuses on Canadian foreign policy, mediation and negotiation, fragile states and diaspora politics.
He is the author, editor or co-editor of 21 books and has authored or co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His most recent books focus on diaspora cooperation, corruption in Canada, branding Canadian foreign policy and state fragility.

Saideman is available to discuss Trump’s impact on foreign affairs and defence policy, including NATO. His research interests focus on the causes and consequences of intervention in intra-state conflicts. His current research deals with the role of legislatures in democratic civil-military relations. Van Rythoven is available to discuss the specific domestic and international barriers the Trump administration faces in its efforts to annex Greenland and why this policy is likely to fail, or at least be extremely costly.
Van Rythoven’s research examines the intersection between emotion, international relations, and the politics of security. He is interested in what political emotions are, how they shape debates about security, and how they become sites of contestation in global politics.
He teaches a range of courses including Introduction to International Relations, Canadian Foreign Policy, the Globalization of Human Rights, Advanced International Relations Theory, Emotion and Images in International Politics, and Frontiers of Emotional Diplomacy.
