The fallout from the WE Charity controversy has been swift. Although former Finance Minister Bill Morneau did not refer to his role in the affair, it is fair to assume that his association with it played a role in his decision to resign. In quick succession of his resignation, Chrystia Freeland has taken over one of the most significant portfolios in government.
