Reduced Water Pressure and Cooling on Aug. 21, 2025

On Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, the City of Ottawa will conduct necessary meter replacement work on the water main that serves the campus. The work is expected to start at 8 a.m. and will last approximately eight hours. During this work, campus users may experience reduced or fluctuating water pressure from taps and fixtures. Limiting your water use on campus during this timeframe is appreciated.

In addition to the reduced water pressure on campus, there is a chance that the cooling systems will be affected and reduced cooling will be available. The following buildings will be affected:

• Steacie
• Health Sciences
• Herzberg
• Richcraft
• ARISE
• MacOdrum
• HCI/VSIM
• Tory
• Nideyinan
• Azrieli Theatre & Pavillion 

During this period, you may notice warmer indoor temperatures, especially during the peak afternoon hours.
