What to Do Before You Travel on Carleton-Related Business
The Department of Risk Management requests that staff, faculty and students travelling internationally on Carleton-related business take steps to help ensure their safety.
Register Your Trip with International SOS
Before you leave the country, you are advised to register your trip with International SOS (I-SOS). Carleton has partnered with I-SOS to provide travellers with security, medical and mental health assistance anywhere in the world. Through I-SOS, travellers have access to the 24/7 Assistance App and will receive timely security updates relevant to their destination.
Registration of Canadians Abroad
Registration of Canadians Abroad is a free service that allows the Government of Canada to notify you in case of an emergency at your destination or a personal emergency at home. The service also enables you to receive important information before or during a natural disaster or civil unrest.
