Eva completed her B.Sc. Honours degree at Carleton University, where she first became involved in forensic psychology as a research assistant in the Gender and Crime Lab. Her experience there strengthened her interest in criminal justice reform and evidence‑based policing, leading her to complete an undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Dr. Craig Bennell examining police use of force involving persons in crisis.
Motivated by a desire to improve investigative practices and better support vulnerable individuals in the justice system, Eva is now completing her MA in Psychology as a member of the PRISM Lab. Her research focuses on trauma and memory, trauma‑informed investigative interviewing, victim–police interactions and victim rights, and the intersection of mental illness and the law.
