Biosketch
I am Enendu Chimaobim Ijeoma and currently in the final stages of completing my PhD program in Business Education. I hold a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship Education from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Alongside my academic pursuits, I serve as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Business Education. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to teaching, research and overall classroom experience. In my capacity as a part-time lecturer, I’ve had the privilege to engage with students and contribute to the intellectual growth and development of aspiring professionals
Research Interest:
My broad area of interest revolves around the transformative role of digital citizenship in shaping entrepreneurial behaviour and its integration into business education programs. Furthermore, my research explores how educational institutions can effectively incorporate digital citizenship principles into their curricula to equip students with the necessary skills and competencies for success in an ever-changing world. Other research areas include E-Learning/ Innovative Techniques in Entrepreneurial Education; I seek to identify and develop pedagogical approaches that leverage technology to enhance the learning experience and promote entrepreneurial thinking. Additionally, my research interest encompasses the examination of digital skills and literacy among students. As digital technologies continue to evolve rapidly, it is essential to understand how students acquire, utilise, and adapt to digital tools and platforms. By addressing gaps in digital skills and literacy, we can better prepare students to thrive in a digitally-driven society and workforce.
Expectations as a QES Scholar during the Mobility Period
I look forward to making the most of this research acceleration program offered by Carleton University and my research placement partner- CODE. Participating in this program will enhance my professional development and refine my research skills through engaging activities and experiences. I am excited about the opportunity and confident that the experiences and connections made during this program will enrich my academic experience and open doors to future opportunities.
The QES Project and Advancement of Your Career
Through the QES program, I anticipate gaining access to resources that will boost my research capacity and contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of business education – which is essential for career advancement in academia. Participation in the QES-WA program will also offer opportunities to connect and learn from my mentors and fellow scholars; and open avenues for joint research projects and publications. I believe these experiences will equip me with the requisite skills and knowledge that can be applied to teaching, research, and academic leadership in the future. Furthermore, collaboration with fellow scholars at Carleton University through the QES project will not only enrich my academic journey but will elevate the visibility and reputation of my home institution; Ignatius Ajuru University which will ultimately benefit students, faculty, and the academic community.
