Biosketch

I am a legal and governance practitioner, a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria; Associate, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and Notary Public for Nigeria. Managing Partner of Georgetown Solicitors since 2008. I am rounding off my PhD research in Corporate Governance.

Research Interests

  • My research focuses on corporate sustainability through succession planning and women inclusion in West Africa.
  • Exploring ways through which inclusion of women in the process of succession planning might be achieved through legal and ethical innovations.
  • Producing a toolkit/guideline for business sustainability.
  • Publication of articles and monograph of my thesis.

Expectations as a QES Scholar during the Mobility Period

Short –term

  • Get technical support to develop and publish a guideline for business sustainability to enhance the sustainability of businesses.
  • Training on advanced research methods in conducting legal reviews and business analysis.
  • Gaining wider networks by attending conferences.
  • Gain exposure from ACCC to offer support to entrepreneurs; Afro-Canadian businesses; the broader Canadian market and the African diaspora.

Long term

  • Accessing platforms and collaboration to organize active learning initiatives for entrepreneurs and business leaders on business sustainability, women inclusion, social entrepreneurship and its impact on local economic development.
  • Publication of the findings from my research and my award experience.

The QES Project and Advancement of your Career

  • The project would enhance my research experience to be eligible for a career as a consultant and professor of business sustainability and individual legacies to impact local economies and development in West Africa and diaspora.
  • Present a platform as an advocate and ambassador of the QES AS WA and Babcock University on the Sustainability of Businesses, especially across West Africa.
  • Gain access to international, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary network for collaboration for governance consulting and training for businesses, corporate organizations, academic and non- academic institutions and for state governments and economies.
