Queen’s University engineering students’ building better tomorrow through the Building Better Together program
Students at Queen’s University have designed custom assistive devises to improve the quality of life for patients living with debilitating illnesses. This was done through the Building Better Together program founded at the university in 2016. During this time, there are 24 student teams work on a collaborative design project with older adult volunteers from the community.
“We actually have a partnership with the occupation therapy program at Queen’s University and we take third year bio-mechanical engineering students and we partner them with second year occupational therapy students, and they join in teams of 6 to meet with community end users” say’s Dr. Claire Davies from Queen’s university
