Field Activity Safety Plan
The university’s Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) department has developed a Field Safety Program website as a central resource for the purposes of planning a field activity.
The CU Field Activity Safety Plan and should be used for all travel purposes to obtain approval for the travel from the applicable respective department authority. The CU Field Activity Safety Plan includes a risk assessment toolkit to assist with identifying possible risks and appropriate mitigation strategies. The Plan does require departmental approval to ensure that all faculty members are addressing the field safety concerns that are likely present in all of these activities.
