In 2022, Carleton University earned a STARS Gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) for its sustainability achievements. STARS is a tracking, assessment, and rating system that measures and promotes sustainability in all aspects of higher education.
With over 900 participants in 40 countries, the STARS program is the most widely recognized framework for publicly reporting comprehensive information related to a college or university’s sustainability performance.
Carleton was also recognized as a Sustainable Campus Index Top Performer by AASHE in 2022 and 2023 and featured on the cover page in 2022.
