Brian Little
Brian Little received his early education in British Columbia and his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. His research lies at the intersection of personality, developmental and applied psychology. He has taught at Oxford University, Carleton University and Harvard University and has received numerous awards for his teaching and research.
Since 2000, he has been Distinguished Research Professor Emeritus at Carleton and, since 2010, has been directing the Social Ecology Research Group at Cambridge.
A highly successful, renowned professor and acclaimed speaker, Brian won a 1995 3M National Teaching Fellowship. Author of the book Me, Myself, and Us, published in 2014, Brian shares his stories of the time he spent at Carleton and draws largely on lectures he gave in psychology while at the university. His pioneering research on how everyday, personal objects influence our lives has become a pivotal way we explain human flourishing.
