Faculty of Science Teaching Award
This award recognizes demonstrated excellence in teaching within the Faculty of Science. Up to three awards of $1,000 for professorial faculty and up to two awards of $1,000 for contract instructors can be made each year.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Teaching Development Award
FASS Teaching Development Awards (TDA) are available to individuals who are undertaking a major pedagogical advancement that clearly extends beyond the routine development of course materials. Up to two awards, with a maximum value of $4,000 per award, will be supported each year.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award
FASS Excellence in Teaching Awards (ETAs) recognize faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching over a period that includes at least the most recent three years. Up to two awards, with a maximum value of $4,000 per award, will be supported each year.
Faculty of Public Affairs Teaching Excellence Award
This award recognizes one full-time faculty member and one contract instructor for merit in the areas of curricular development, commitment to student advising and engagement, teaching evaluations, curriculum and classroom innovation, and consistency in teaching excellence. Each award winner will receive a $1,500 tax deductible cash award.
Faculty of Public Affairs Teaching Fellowship
This award provides full–time faculty and instructors with an opportunity to innovate and to demonstrate leadership in teaching, as well as to reward teaching excellence. One award may be granted each year. Award winners will receive a $1,500 tax deductible cash award plus a grant of up to $7,500 to be held over two years.
Sprott School of Business Excellence in Teaching Award
This award recognizes one full-time faculty member and one contract instructors for their commitment to student advising and engagement, curriculum development, and design and delivery of exceptional educational experiences for Sprott undergraduate and/or graduate students. Each recipient will receive a $1,500 one-time honorarium.
Faculty of Engineering and Design Teaching Excellence Award
This award recognizes and celebrates faculty members, instructors and contract instructors in the Faculty of Engineering and Design for their excellence in teaching. Five awards may be given each year, with at least one designated for contract instructors. Each recipient will receive a $1,500 cash award.
