On November 20, 2020 Prof. Chantal Dion and Carleton President Benoit-Antoine Bacon once again jumped in the Ottawa River for the annual Polar Bear Dip (PBD) in support of Carleton’s United Way campaign! This year Chantal and Benoit broke a PBD fundraising record!!! This year’s total raised is $4,692!!!
As Chantal so eloquently puts it, “In these times of pandemic, we must not forget those of our brothers and sisters severely hit by circumstances and be ready to go an extra mile to support those in need. So, clearly, for me the Polar Bear Dip is this extra mile, an opportunity to show solidarity for the less fortunate of our society.”
