When to Use Pages

Use pages for information that does not change nor need to be updated often (i.e.: contact, about, student information). Pages can appear in the navigation bar of your website or they may be hidden.

Best Practices:

  • Keep page titles short
  • Use keywords in titles
  • Make pages easily scannable (and accessible) by breaking content up into short paragraphs with clear headings

When to Use Posts

Posts appear in chronological order on your site. Use them for timely information (i.e.: news and blogs).

Best Practices:

  • Post news regularly
  • Create a category and tagging strategy
  • Write lots of posts. It keeps your site fresh for visitors and is great for search engine optimization (SEO).
