The Carleton Centre for Community Innovation has from its inception understood that communities include workplaces. Consistent with 3ci’s approach to community-based research, we recognize that the people who make their livelihoods in offices, stores, and factories (or remotely)–workers–bring to pressing challenges very valuable knowledge to co-create with other stakeholders the most effective public policies at every level of society. This is especially necessary with regard to achieving net zero and a just energy transition away from fossil fuels and toward renewables.
