Laura holds B.Sc.(2020) degree in Energy Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, Colombia. In her undergraduate research work, she conducted an economic energy model to explain the energy demand in Colombia. Prior to joining her graduate studies, she worked as an Energy Trader Analyst in the wholesale energy market. Her research interest aligns with the behavior of the Wholesale Energy Market and decision making on energy systems problems involving different technologies, environmental impacts, costs, benefits, risks, and economic factors.
