Dexter “TBD” Dimova (QEII scholar, PhD candidate, He/Him) first joined the Barry Lab in 2020 for his BSc honours project, during which he synthesized molybdenum(VI) complexes. After his co-op with the NRC, where he adapted nanocomposite materials with polymer coatings and boron nitride nanotubes, Dexter rejoined the Barry Lab for his MSc in 2023 and has fast-tracked into his PhD. He is now an SRC researcher focusing on Group III (yttrium and scandium) complexes as potential ALD precursors.
