Dexter “Sunny Boy” Dimova (QEII scholar, PhD candidate, He/Him) first joined the Barry Lab in 2020 for his BSc honours project, during which he synthesized molybdenum(VI) complexes. After his co-op with the NRC, where he adapted nanocomposite materials with polymer coatings and boron nitride nanotubes, Dexter rejoined the Barry Lab for his MSc in 2023 and has fast-tracked into his PhD. He is now an SRC researcher focusing on Group III (yttrium and scandium) complexes as potential ALD precursors.
He is the gas manager for the Barry Lab.
