Project Title:
Enhancing Biofiltration Performance for Drinking Water Treatment through the use of Novel Techniques
Project Description:
To investigates the impact of various operating parameters such as Carbon: Nitrogen: Phosphorus (C:N:P) ratios on biofilter performance for drinking water treatment. 3 lab scale dual-media columns were set up to improve biofilter performance through various techniques.
Also, I was apart of a pilot scale biofiltration study over the fall of 2013. I worked in Tandem with Celia Charron in an attempt to optimize the performance of biologically activated carbon (BAC) filtration as compared to slow sand filtration (SSF).
