Join us for the start of (what we hope is) a new ongoing Public History event series from CCPH spotlighting different museums and new opportunities for cultural heritage and public history in Ottawa: “Public History Night at the [….] Museum”

Event Cost: FREE – Admission is free to the War Museum after 5pm on Thursdays

Who can attend: Open to Carleton University students and faculty interested in Public History. Open to history students/faculty, anthropology students/faculty, sociology students/faculty, curatorial studies students/faculty, journalism students/faculty and any student/faculty interested in learning more about public history in practice via museum education and special collections. 

Event Plan: The tour will start in the War Museum library shortly after 5pm and then continue through the museum for special tour lead by War Museum Historian and Carleton Professor, Dr. Andrew Burtch, and War Museum Research Associate, and recent Carleton PhD Public History graduate, Dr. Sarafina Pagnotta

Tentative Timeline for the Tour
5:05-5:25pm War Museum Library
5:25-5:45pm Dr. Andrew Burtch tour
5:45-6:05pm Dr. Sarafina Pagnotta Tour
~6:15pm Tour finishes
6:15-7pm: Attendees have free time to browse the War Museum before it closes at 7pm
