Public History Prize
An award of the Canadian Historical Association
The award recognizes work that achieves high standards of original research, scholarship, and presentation; brings an innovative public history contribution to its audience; and serves as a model for future work, advancing the field of public history in Canada. Works in public history are eligible for consideration and may include: books (monographs, edited collections of essays, or published works of comparable scope); exhibitions and/or exhibition catalogues; documentary films; web sites; and other products representing scholarship in the field of public history. Works beyond the field of Canadian History are welcome. All residents of Canada, or Canadian citizens living outside Canada, are eligible. The prize may be awarded to individuals or to groups of researchers where the principal researcher is a Canadian resident or citizen.

Le prix en histoire appliquée
Un prix de la Société historique du Canada
Ce prix vise à honorer et récompenser l’auteur (ou les auteurs) d’un ouvrage: atteignant un niveau exemplaire de recherche originale, d’érudition, et de style de présentation; novateur en histoire publique; servant de modèle pour future ouvrages et faisant progresser le champ de recherche d’histoire publique au Canada. Les sujets acceptés ne se limitent pas à l’histoire canadienne. Tous résidents canadiens ou citoyens canadiens résidant à l’étranger sont admissibles. Le prix peut être conféré à un individuel ou à un groupe de chercheurs dans lequel le chercheur principal est un résident ou citoyen canadien.
