The Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław, Poland (HI UWr), Depot History Centre, the International Federation for Public History, EuroClio – European Association of History Educators, and the Commission for Public History of the Committee of Historical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences invite students, PhD candidates and practitioners to participate in the eighth Public History Summer School to be held in hybrid format (on-site and on-line), 9-13 June 2025.

Summer School Dates: Monday June 9 – Friday June 13, 2025
Open to: graduate and postgraduate students, professionals, and independent scholars including those without institutional affiliation but conducting interesting public history projects.
The opening keynote lecture, “Philately in Troubled Times: Remembering the Past through Stamps and Stamp Collecting.” will be given by Carleton University’s own, David Dean. The organisers are also planning a wide variety of accompanying events: roundtable on studying public history, workshops on oral history and monuments, as well as meeting with Chris Niedenthal. In addition, participants will visit the city (walking tour) and the main exhibition on history of Wrocław after 1945 at the Depot History Centre.
