Opportunity
The Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Canada are pleased to announce that the unilaterally offered Chinese Government Scholarships (2022-2023 academic year) for Canadian Students and Scholars are now open for competition. These are full scholarships that cover A. tuition, B. dormitory accommodation, C. living allowance or stipend as well as D. comprehensive medical insurance but not international travel, and are offered to students and scholars of Canadian citizenship. There are abundant academic programs that are taught in English to choose from but in case students choose Chinese as the language of instruction, proficiency must be HSK level 3 for undergraduate studies and HSK level 4 for graduate studies.
Eligibility
Students and scholars of Canadian citizenship seeking:
- A bachelor’s degree (for high school graduates under the age of 25);
- A master’s degree (for bachelor’s degree holders under the age of 35);
- A doctoral degree (for master’s degree holders under the age of 40);
- To study as a general scholar without academic credit (for high school graduates or bachelor’s degree holders under the age of 45);
- Or to study as a senior scholar without academic credit (for master’s degree holders, doctoral degree holders, associate professors and professors under the age of 50).
Funding Available
Full scholarships that cover tuition, dormitory accommodation, living allowance or stipend as well as comprehensive medical insurance.
Deadlines
- Complete the online CSC application by January 28, 2022.
- Submit a hard copy of the application documents to the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Canada by February 2, 2022.
