Sylvie Jasen coordinates initiatives that support the development of the international research portfolio and the strategic goals of the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International). Her role includes coordinating funding opportunities and research projects, facilitating international research collaboration, conducting research on broader foreign educational systems, and supporting a variety of events and delegations.
Sylvie has held various positions at Carleton, both academic and administrative, for over 15 years. She has a background in research and teaching, having completed a PhD at the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art, and Culture, and taught in both the Department of Film Studies and the School of Journalism and Communications. Sylvie has since moved into the administrative end of the university, first taking on coordinator positions at the Office of Research Ethics and the Sprott School of Business.
