Position Type: Volunteer/Contractual

Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension

About the Role

Pulse & Praxis: The Journal for Critical Infrastructure Protection, Security, and Resilience is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Editorial and Reviewer Teams. Whether you’re interested in shaping the editorial direction of the journal or providing constructive peer reviews, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing publication at the intersection of research, policy, and practice.

Note: This is currently a volunteer position. However, as the journal secures grants and funding opportunities, there may be potential to provide modest stipends to support these roles in the future.

Why It Matters

The strength of any scholarly journal rests on the quality and integrity of its editorial and peer review process. In the fast-moving and interconnected field of critical infrastructure protection, ensuring rigorous, fair, and timely evaluation of research is essential.

By volunteering as part of the Editorial or Reviewer Team, you help shape the standards of scholarship in a space that directly influences Canada’s preparedness and resilience. Your contributions ensure that published work is not only academically sound, but also relevant to practitioners and policymakers making decisions on cybersecurity, climate adaptation, emergency management, and national security.

This role matters because it upholds trust in the journal, fosters collaboration across sectors, and ensures that actionable knowledge is shared with those who need it most.
