Examining the Gendered Nature of Mental Health Issues, Leaves of Absence and Return to Work Experiences of Professional Workers from a Comparative Perspective
Project Description: The Healthy Professional Worker Partnership is a CIHR & SSHRC funded initiative that examines mental health, leaves of absence and return to work from a comparative and intersectional gender lens. The full project involves case studies on seven professions: academia, accounting, dentistry, medicine, midwifery, nursing and teaching. Twenty-five researchers from 16 universities across Canada are involved.
Dr. Merridee Bujaki, FCPA, FCA (Sprott School of Business, Carleton University) is the Team Lead for the Accounting professional case.
Dr. Darlene Himick, CFA (Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa) and Dr. Suzanne Paquette, CPA, CA (Faculty of Business Administration, Université Laval) are co-investigators for the accounting case.
