The countdown has begun! Today, Friday, Nov. 4, marks 75 days until the official launch of celebrations for Carleton’s 75th anniversary year.
Carleton’s 75th is an opportunity to celebrate the enduring vision of the citizens who opened the original college in 1942 to serve their community, a guiding principle that today encompasses local, regional, national and international communities.
Since opening its doors to students building their careers as they emerged from military service in the Second World War, Carleton has grown into a leading post-secondary institution, one that has provided a unique educational experience to more than 130,000 graduates over seven decades. That’s certainly something worth celebrating.

Be sure to mark Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 on your calendars and join the Carleton community at the 75th anniversary launch in the University Centre Galleria. This will be an exciting, informal and interactive event to celebrate Carleton’s anniversary year and to build awareness about the many projects and events planned throughout 2017.
CU75 Memories
We’re also launching regular CU75 Memories contests on social media. This month’s contest is all about Carleton’s football history. Cheer on our Ravens as they cap off a banner season by voting for your favourite historical photo of the team through the decades. You could win a $250 gift card to the book store. And stay in touch with the campaign on social media using the hashtag #CU75.
In 75 days, Carleton will embark on a year-long celebration of the university’s successful past, dynamic present and promising future.
